Meet The Yoruba King who Can Command Death

Alaafin, or 'Man of the Palace' in the Yoruba language, was the title of the king of the great Oyo Empire of Oyo state. It was retained through the fall of that state as the official title of the ceremonial ruler of the contemporary natives of Oyo, Nigeria.

The Alaafin has been ranked as the second strongest king in Nigeria, after the Emir of Kano state.

Alaafin is fondly called "Iku Baba Yeye," meaning the king who can command death in Yoruba Empire. The throne of Alaafin commands so much respect amidst others. Many Yoruba battles have been fought and won by this throne. When it comes to spiritual battle and powers, the Alaafin throne is always well prepared.
