"My House Isn't Yours, Go and Work For Your Own" – Patience Ozokwor Warns Against Pampering Children

Speaking on parenting and inheritance, the actress said, "One way when you say, I don't want my children to suffer what I suffered when I was growing up You see, that's the best way to destroy your children."

According to her, parents should not deliberately make their children suffer but should allow them to experience some struggles and understand the process of achieving success. "I'm not saying allow them to suffer, what I'm saying is allow them to struggle.

Go through the process," she explained . Her comments have resonated with many parents who believe that children need to learn the value of hard work.

The veteran actress, who has built a successful career in Nollywood over several decades, emphasised the importance of teaching children resilience and independence.

She argued that parents who shield their children from every form of struggle are setting them up for failure in adulthood.

"My house isn't yours, go and work for your own," she said, making it clear that children should not expect to inherit their parents' wealth without putting in the effort.

Her comments have sparked a debate about the balance between providing for children and teaching them self-reliance.

The actress's warning has resonated with many parents who have struggled with the challenge of raising children in a world where instant gratification is often the norm.

Her message has also highlighted the importance of instilling values such as hard work, discipline, and perseverance in children from a young age.

The conversation has also touched on the role of parents in shaping the character and values of their children, and the need to strike a balance between providing for them and teaching them the value of hard work.

As the conversation continues, Patience Ozokwor's message serves as a reminder that children need to learn the value of hard work and perseverance.

Her willingness to speak out on such a sensitive topic has earned her praise from many who believe that parents need to take a more active role in shaping the character of their children. Her message is clear: parents should allow their children to struggle, so they can learn and grow.
