73 Years Old Woman Becomes Oldest Woman to Ever Give Birth to Twins
Erramatti Mangayamma, the 73 years old woman to give birth in the world. Even though arguments by different news agency places the woman between 73 and 74, as there was uncertainty about her exact age since many people do not have a birth certificate in India.
Erramatti delivered through caesarian section after IVF treatment in September 2019 without complications. Her husband, Sitarama Rajarao, was reportedly 82 years old as at the time of the birth of the twins. He had a stroke immediately after his wife conceived.
From Erramatti's age, it's been officially confirmed by doctors in the region, that the woman's age made her the world's oldest woman to give birth after a successful delivery. Both children were in good shape, and the mother never suffered from post-birth complications.
She commented she was the happiest woman in the world while narrating ordeals leading to the birth of her twins. She had to collect eggs as she could not produce and had her husband give the sperm.
