The nominations for the 2026 BET Awards were unveiled today, and African artists once again made a strong showing across key categories.
Leading the African contingent is Tems, who earned three nominations, making her the most nominated African artist this year. She was nominated in the following categories: Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, BET Her Award for her track "First", and Viewers' Choice for her collaboration on Dave's song "Raindance"
South African global sensation Tyla follows with two nominations, continuing her impressive international rise after a landmark year on the global stage.
