“Anyone Praising Tinubu Has Been Bribed” - Prophet Odumeje Makes Explosive Allegations Against Supporters of the President

Prophet Odumeje has ignited another wave of political controversy after making explosive allegations against supporters of President Bola Tinubu.

Popular Anambra-based cleric Prophet Chukwuemeka ‘Odumeje’ Ohanaemere has stirred fresh political controversy after alleging that Nigerians who publicly praise President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration have been “bribed.”

Speaking in a video currently circulating on social media, the outspoken preacher criticized the Federal Government’s handling of the country’s economic challenges, particularly the issue of hunger. Odumeje’s remarks came in reaction to President Tinubu’s recent statement that “there’s hunger before I was born,” a comment that has continued to generate debate across the country.

According to the cleric, those defending the current administration are doing so for personal benefits rather than out of genuine conviction.

“Anyone you see singing praises for the current government is doing so because that person has been bribed. You are there to manage our resources, not your personal business or your family’s business. These resources belong to every Nigerian citizen,” he said.

Odumeje also criticized governors and senators who have publicly defended the President, accusing them of putting personal interests ahead of the welfare of ordinary Nigerians.

Looking ahead to the next general election, the cleric said Nigerians would have the opportunity to decide the country’s future.

“In 2027, we shall decide if it’s you, governor or senator, whose family owns Nigeria, or whether all of us own Nigeria. We are no longer boys; we are fathers,” he declared.

The prophet also questioned the Federal Government’s continued borrowing, insisting that leaders must be transparent about how borrowed funds are spent since the debt ultimately falls on all Nigerians.

“The money you borrow, you borrow in all our names. So you must account for it, because that debt falls on our heads, and on the future of all our children,” he added.

Odumeje’s comments have since gone viral, triggering heated reactions across social media. While some Nigerians agreed with his criticism of governance and accountability, others disagreed with his allegation that everyone supporting the President has been bribed, arguing that people can hold differing political opinions for a variety of reasons.

As the country gradually shifts its attention toward the 2027 general elections, the cleric’s remarks have added another voice to the growing national conversation on governance, accountability, and Nigeria’s political future.
