“Cheating Is Self-Defence If Your Man Can’t Provide” - Zari The Boss Lady Sparks Outrage With Bold Relationship Advice
Reality TV star Zari The Boss Lady has divided opinions online after sharing a bold take on love, money, and what she calls “self-defence” in relationships.
Reality TV star and businesswoman Zari The Boss Lady has set social media ablaze after making a controversial statement about relationships, claiming that cheating should not always be viewed as betrayal especially when a partner fails to provide.
Speaking during a TikTok session, the Ugandan socialite argued that women who are financially abandoned by partners who also prevent them from working should not feel guilty about seeking help elsewhere. According to Zari, some men insist that their girlfriends or wives remain unemployed, only to neglect their responsibility of providing for them, leaving the women financially stranded.
She said that in such situations, if another person comes along offering both emotional and financial support, the woman should not be condemned for accepting it. In her most controversial remark, Zari declared:
“Cheating is self-defence if your man can’t provide for you.”
The reality star explained that a partner who refuses to support his woman after making her financially dependent has already failed in his responsibilities, arguing that survival should come before loyalty in such circumstances. Her comments have since ignited fierce debates across social media.
While some people agreed with her, saying financial neglect can place women in extremely difficult situations, many others strongly disagreed, insisting that infidelity can never be justified regardless of the circumstances. Others argued that ending the relationship is a healthier option than cheating.
The viral remarks have once again thrust Zari into the spotlight, with thousands of Nigerians and other Africans weighing in on the age-old debate about love, and fidelity in modern relationships.
