In a series of posts on X, Regha criticised VDM's approach to the Okoye brothers' feud, describing his involvement as "Clout, main character syndrome".

The media personality drew parallels between VDM's current actions and his previous involvement in the Mohbad case, arguing that the activist has a pattern of diverting sensitive matters from their original purpose.

"And this was how the Mohbad's case was twisted, and eventually lost its purpose to date; Same way the Dangote and Phyna's late sister case was thrown into confusion," Regha wrote, accusing VDM of turning tragedies into content for personal relevance.

Regha also warned the public against sharing confidential information with content creators they do not trust, writing, "Never trust a content creator who can't keep a secret, your conversation is their next ringlight podcast".

The comment appeared to be a direct jab at VDM's recent claims about the Okoye matter, where he has been vocal about fact-checking the brothers' statements and publicly disclosing his conversations with those involved in the dispute.

This is not the first time Regha has distinguished himself from VDM. In a previous interview, he stated, "We are not the same. I speak from an uncompromised point of view. I do not need people to pay me attention or do something for me".

He further questioned whether VDM "stands for anything in particular," referencing a time when the activist admitted there were some celebrities he could not call out.

Regha has consistently maintained that his criticism is constructive and backed by facts, unlike what he perceives as VDM's attention-seeking approach.

Reactions to Regha's criticism have been mixed across social media platforms. Some users agreed with his assessment of VDM's behaviour, while others defended the activist's involvement in the family dispute.
