Daniel Regha Blasts Davido For Spraying Money at Crowd in Osun, Says It's Foolish

Daniel Regha never keeps quiet, and this time his target is Davido. The media personality has blasted the singer and his team for what he called a foolish act, spraying money at a crowd in Osun State. According to Regha, the gesture was unnecessary and performative, especially when you consider how many Nigerians are struggling to feed themselves right now.

Here's what happened, Davido visited Osun State recently, and as expected, a crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of him. At some point, he and his aides started throwing cash into the air, and people scrambled to grab whatever they could. Cheering, shouting, pushing, the usual Nigerian money-spraying chaos.

But Daniel Regha saw it differently, He argued that spraying money like that doesn't help anyone in the long run. A few people might go home with a couple of thousand naira, but what does that really change? He said it's just for show, a way to get people to cheer louder while looking generous on camera. If Davido truly wanted to help, Regha suggested he would donate to communities, support local businesses, or invest in something that lasts longer than a few seconds of scrambling.

Fans of Davido have fired back, of course. They say the singer was just showing love and that there's nothing wrong with sharing his wealth. Some argued that Nigerians love to complain, when celebrities do nothing, they get criticized, and when they do something, they still get criticized. Others pointed out that money spraying is a cultural thing in Nigeria, especially at events and celebrations, so why is Regha making it a big deal?

But Regha isn't backing down, His point is that celebrities need to be more intentional about their generosity. Spraying cash might feel good in the moment, but it doesn't solve the deeper problems. He called the act foolish and said Davido's aides should know better.

The debate has been going on Twitter since Regha posted. Some people agree that money spraying is wasteful and performative. Others say let the man enjoy his money and stop policing how he chooses to give. Either way, Davido hasn't responded, and he probably won't. But Daniel Regha has succeeded in getting people talking, which is what he does best.
