Delta Governor's Aide Ossai Ovie Disappointed Over Peller and Jarvis' Marriage, Hopes They Signed Prenup

Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, has shared his thoughts following the court wedding of TikTok stars Peller and Jarvis, saying he hopes the couple signed a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot.

Delta Governor's Aide Ossai Ovie Disappointed Over Peller and Jarvis' Marriage, Hopes They Signed Prenup

The couple officially exchanged vows in a civil ceremony in Lagos on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, ahead of their much-anticipated white wedding scheduled for August 1.

Shortly after the news broke, Ossai took to social media to express his concerns, congratulating the newlyweds but admitting he would be disappointed if they entered the marriage without a prenup.

According to him, both Peller and Jarvis have built successful personal brands, making it important to clearly define ownership of assets and earnings from the onset.

While congratulating the couple, Ossai Ovie made it clear that something about the union sat uneasily with him.

His concern centred on the speed of the marriage and the enormous pressure he believes the couple already faces as young, wealthy, and very public figures. "I am disappointed," he wrote, adding that his words came from a place of genuine concern.

"In this generation, people rush in, post love, collect gifts, then 6 months later we're seeing breakup TikToks". He expressed hope that behind the celebrations, proper legal and family counsel had been involved before the couple made it official.

Ossai Ovie's prenup argument

A significant portion of the Delta governor's aide's post focused on what he believes should have been a non-negotiable step before the wedding. Ossai Ovie argued that when two prominent figures with independent brands, income streams and public followings come together, financial clarity is not optional; it is essential. "Peller has brands, streams, and gifts. Jarvis has her own career and brand too. A prenup makes it clear what belongs to who, so business doesn't kill love," he wrote.

He pushed back against the idea that prenups signal a lack of trust, framing them instead as a mature, forward-thinking approach to marriage.

The post has generated mixed reactions online, with some agreeing that a prenup is a sensible step for public figures while others questioned why Ossai described himself as "disappointed".

One social media user wrote, "I don't see anything wrong with what he said. Prenup isn't bad. It will even help them think before making decisions," while another argued, "They're legally married now with proof… The truth is, his words are sensible.

Prenup arrangements isn't bad for someone of their status". Despite his reservations, Ossai Ovie closed his post on a warm note, offering the couple his prayers and well-wishes: "Congrats to Jarvis and Peller. I pray their home stands. But I also pray it was built with sense, not just vibes".
