God Is Our Problem Solver - Pastor Kumuyi Urges Nigerians To Seek Divine Intervention Over Insecurity
Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, has called on Nigerians to seek God out, considering the worsening security challenges facing the country, adding that only divine intervention could provide lasting solutions.
Kumuyi made the remarks while speaking to journalists after a courtesy visit to the Benue State Government House ahead of the Global Crusade scheduled to hold in Gboko and Otukpo Local Government Areas. Speaking about concerns over the continued insecurity in parts of the country, the respected cleric said that while individuals may be responsible for acts of violence, the ultimate answer lies with God.
“We know that, when bad things happen, there are people who are responsible for it, but the people are not the solution. God is our problem solver,” he said.
He urged Nigerians to return to God in humility and repentance, assuring that God is ever willing to intervene whenever His people really seek Him.
Quoting the Bible, Kumuyi said:
“God is waiting for us. He said, ‘If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and turn away from their sins,’ He is ready to solve their problems.”
The pastor said the week-long Global Crusade to be held in Gboko and Otukpo next week, is to motivate people to rededicate themselves to God and seek his guidance in these trying times. Kumuyi besides calling for spiritual revival also commended the Benue State Government on the progress being made in the areas of infrastructure and education despite the security challenges confronting the state. He said that the sustained commitment of the government, coupled with faith in God, would create the avenue for enduring peace, stability and development in Benue State and Nigeria at large.
His comments have since sparked online conversations with many Nigerians reiterating the importance of prayer and faith while others emphasised the need for stronger security measures and practical government action alongside spiritual intervention.
