“How Can You Have a Baby With Him?” - BBNaija Star Angel Questions Luminee’s Decision to Have a Child With Baba Ijesha

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Angel Smith sparks intense reactions after criticizing fashion designer Luminee for welcoming a baby boy with actor Baba Ijesha, despite his criminal record.

Reality TV star Angel Smith has shared her stance on the online discussions surrounding the birth of Baba Ijesha’s son, expressing disbelief that anyone would choose to have a child with the actor given his criminal history.

Reacting to the news on social media, Angel questioned Luminee’s decision, arguing that the actor’s past conviction should have been enough to discourage anyone from entering into a relationship with him.

“How can you, as a woman, have a baby with this person knowing his crime?”

Her remarks quickly went viral, drawing thousands of reactions across social media. Many users have agreed with Angel, saying that crimes involving children are serious and that people have every right to consider a person’s past when deciding whether to build a future with them. Others, however, disagreed with the reality star, arguing that while Baba Ijesha’s conviction should not be forgotten, he has served the prison sentence imposed by the court. They also maintained that Luminee has the right to make her own personal decisions and should not be subjected to online harassment because of her relationship.

This debate is coming just hours after Baba Ijesha and Luminee announced the birth of their son, an announcement that was initially met with congratulatory messages before shifting into a broader discussion about justice, and whether public figures convicted of serious crimes should continue to face social consequences after completing their sentences.

As reactions continue to pour in, the story has become one of the most talked-about topics in Nigeria’s entertainment space this week.
