“I Don’t Want My Children to Do Music” - Davido Opens Up on Why He Hopes His Kids Choose a Different Career

According to Davido, the entertainment industry is far more challenging than many people realize, and he does not want his children to experience the same difficulties he endured while chasing his dreams.

“I don’t want any of my children doing music because I don’t want them to go through what I went through,” he said.

Davido revealed that one of his daughters already appears to have a natural gift for singing, but stressed that the final decision would always be theirs.

“Obviously, anything, because eventually my parents and my family allowed me chase my dream. I would never want to block any of them from chasing their dream. And especially if they’re good, why not?” he explained.

“I’m first generation musician in my family. I’m the first person that tried to go against the grain in the whole generation of Adeleke,” he said.
