“I Won’t Abandon a Child Even If DNA Says It Isn’t Mine” - MC Fish Opens Up on Betrayal, Forgiveness, and Fatherhood
Hype man MC Fish has stirred mixed reactions after sharing his surprising stance on DNA tests, fatherhood, and whether he would forgive a wife who secretly had another man’s child.
Nigerian hype man MC Fish, the ex-husband of actress Anita Joseph, has sparked conversations online after revealing how he would handle one of the most heartbreaking situations a man could face in marriage.
Speaking during an interview on the LinkUp Podcast, MC Fish said he would continue raising a child even if a DNA test, conducted after six or seven years of marriage, revealed that the child was not biologically his. When asked how he would react to such a discovery, the entertainer said his first concern would be the innocent child, not the betrayal.
“If it happens, I will train that child because it is an innocent child. Let the child grow up and even say I’m not his father. My reward is with my Creator, it is with God.”
After the interviewer pointed out that many men would likely walk away in such a situation, MC Fish stood firmly by his beliefs. He explained that after years of raising a child, the emotional bond built over time cannot simply be erased because of a DNA result.
The conversation then shifted to whether he would remain married to a wife who had secretly conceived a child with another man. Surprisingly, MC Fish said he wouldn’t make that decision based on the betrayal alone. Instead, he would carefully evaluate the entire relationship before deciding whether to stay. According to him, every marriage is different, and one mistake, no matter how painful, should not automatically erase years of love, companionship, and support if genuine forgiveness is possible.
His remarks have since sparked heated debates on social media. While many applauded his compassion towards an innocent child and his willingness to forgive, others argued that paternity fraud is a deep betrayal that would be impossible to overlook.
MC Fish’s comments have reignited conversations about fatherhood, trust, forgiveness, and whether love can survive one of the greatest tests a marriage can face.
