Late Nollywood Star Alexx Ekubo Laid to Rest in Arochukwu as Widow Bids Him an Emotional Final Farewell

It was a heartbreaking day in Arochukwu, Abia State, as family, friends, colleagues, and fans gathered to bid a final farewell to beloved Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo.

The late actor Alex Ekubo was laid to rest today Thursday 18 June, in his hometown of Arochukwu, Abia State after a funeral service at Mary Slessor School Field, Amanagwu Village. One of the most emotional moments of the ceremony was when Alexx’s widow, Anwuli Amakom, said her final goodbyes at his graveside. Videos of the burial showed her throwing sand on her late husband’s grave in a traditional last farewell, a deeply emotional moment that moved mourners and quickly went viral on social media.

Top Nigerian entertainers turned up at the burial to pay their last respects to their fallen colleague. Ini Edo, Nancy Isime, IK Ogbonna, AY Makun, Yomi Casual, Omoni Oboli, Funnybone, Angela Okorie, Mike Godson, Pretty Mike, Venita Akpofure, Nons Miraj and many others were in attendance as they all came together to celebrate the life and legacy of the actor.
