The estranged wife of Nollywood actor Akin Olaiya has spoken publicly about the breakdown of their marriage, alleging that years of emotional pain, frustration, and domestic violence forced her to walk away from the relationship.
Reacting to ongoing conversations surrounding their separation, she clarified that she and the actor have been apart for quite some time, revealing that their marriage effectively ended last year. According to her, many people have unfairly judged her decision to leave, with some suggesting she abandoned her home without justification. However, she insisted that no woman would willingly walk away from a peaceful and fulfilling marriage without serious reasons.
She explained that she married Olaiya out of genuine love despite their age difference and entered the union with hopes of building a happy and lasting family. Unfortunately, she said, things took a different turn behind closed doors. She also expressed heartbreak over the actor’s decision to marry her former best friend after their separation. Despite the growing public interest in the matter, she stated that she has no intention of exposing all that transpired between them. According to her, her values, upbringing, and personal convictions prevent her from publicly dragging her former husband.
She later added that she has chosen to leave the past behind, entrust the situation to God, and focus on embracing a new chapter.
