“Nigerians Want Tinubu to Continue Beyond 2027”- Gbajabiamila Declares Amid APC Primary Exercise
During the APC presidential primary exercise in Surulere, Lagos, Chief of Staff Gbajabiamila said the large turnout of party members and supporters was a clear sign that many Nigerians want President Tinubu to secure a second term in office.
According to him:
“This crowd is out here for one reason and one reason only: to express their love, to express their desire for continuity for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to continue as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the next four years.”
Gbajabiamila added that, despite current economic difficulties, many Nigerians understand that the administration’s policies, particularly its economic reforms, are designed to deliver long-term national benefits. He compared the process to “the birth pains of a pregnant woman,” suggesting that current hardship would eventually produce positive outcomes.
The Chief of Staff also pointed to the presence of his 96-year-old mother, alongside youths, women, and elderly supporters, as evidence of broad-based support for Tinubu’s leadership.
His comments come as political conversations around the 2027 presidential election continue to intensify, with supporters and critics debating
on whether Tinubu deserves another term.
