“Stay Away From Widows” - Pastor Julius Ekweozor Sparks Controversy With Spiritual Warning to Men

Pastor Julius Ekweozor has sparked controversy on social media after making series of claims about widowhood and warning men against dating widows.

The cleric had reportedly said in his sermon: “Widows are dangerous, and you must be careful before you interact with them, regardless of their age or character.”

The widow is spiritually married to her dead husband according to his spiritual beliefs, he said, describing the case as a kind of spiritual marriage. The pastor reportedly warned men against getting into romantic relationships with widows as they could face alleged spiritual consequences.

He also claimed that the death of a woman’s husband does not necessarily end the spiritual connection between them, insisting that a man who becomes involved with her could allegedly face attacks from the spirit of her late husband.

Ekweozor further addressed the issue of widows who choose to remarry.
