Popular TikToker Al-Amin G-Fresh has reacted to the latest divorce of Kannywood actor Adam Zango, criticising the actor after he revealed that his marriage ended because he and his wife discovered they had incompatible AS genotypes after tying the knot.

The controversy began after Adam Zango shared a video showing his now ex-wife leaving his home. The actor explained that the separation was peaceful and urged fans not to spread false stories about the end of the marriage. According to Zango, the couple decided to part ways after discovering they both had the AS genotype. This combination poses a high risk of having children with sickle cell disease if both partners carry the same trait.

However, G-Fresh and his wife believe the situation could have been avoided entirely.

In a video, the couple stressed that genetic testing is one of the most important medical checks prospective couples should undergo before marriage, arguing that it is a standard part of premarital screening.

“You shouldn’t be so uninformed as to conduct only an HIV test without getting a comprehensive medical checkup, including a genotype test, before marriage,” G-Fresh said.

He argued that Adam Zango’s explanation had only exposed him to public criticism and unnecessary ridicule. According to G-Fresh, the actor did not owe the public an explanation for the failed marriage and should have handled the matter privately.

The TikToker also disclosed that if he were to enter another relationship, he would insist on a comprehensive medical examination before taking the relationship any further.
