“Your Husband’s Death Isn’t Even Two Years Old, Yet You’ve Sold His Properties and You’re Still Asking for Money” - King Mitchy Calls Out Mr Ibu’s Widow
Content creator King Mitchy has sparked heated reactions online after criticizing Mr Ibu’s widow, Stella Maris, over her continued appeals for financial support.
Content creator King Mitchy has stirred controversy after publicly criticizing Stella Maris Okafor, the widow of late Nollywood actor Mr Ibu, over her continued appeals for financial assistance.
In a new viral video, King Mitchy questioned why Stella was still soliciting public support less than two years after his passing. According to the content creator, she believes enough resources should already be available to cater to the family’s needs.
“Your husband’s death is not up to two years, but you’ve sold his properties, everything, and you’re still asking people for money,” she said.
King Mitchy also suggested that Nigerians had already shown generosity during Mr Ibu’s prolonged health battle and after his death, arguing that over N7 Million had been donated to her and there should be accountability regarding it and other financial support received. She also questioned why the late Mr. Ibu’s properties had already been sold, and why one of Mr. Ibu's sons had accused her of maltreatment and of other fraudulent activities.
Her remarks immediately sparked heated reactions across social media. While some users agreed with her position and called for transparency over the management of Mr Ibu’s estate, others defended the late actor’s widow, pointing out that the public may not be aware of the family’s financial responsibilities, outstanding debts, or the costs associated with Mr Ibu’s lengthy illness.
As of the time of reporting, Stella Maris had not publicly responded to King Mitchy’s latest comments, and the claims regarding the sale of Mr Ibu’s properties remains unverified.
