About This Song

Let's listen to the new song "For You" by the South African singer and rapper, Dope Saint Jude.

This time, Dope Saint Jude gives her beautiful fan base a new classic and impressive song "For You". It was released in 2022 and was taken from her new and third studio Extended Play called "Higher Self", which has been shared on all streaming platforms.

After many succesful offerings, Dope Saint Jude releases a new Extended Play called "Higher Self", her third studio Extended Play which was released through the French record label, Yotanka.

Higher Self is a phenomenal and stunning body of work Extended Play where Dope Saint still showcases the high level of her capabilities. According to her explanation for the released project...

"Higher Self' is my most introspective EP thus far. I wrote it during the height of the pandemic, having been afforded time to pause and reflect on my life. I had moved to another country, found love and was steadily forging my path in the world. It became necessary to mark this moment. A good friend once told me that making music is like casting spells, and I take that very seriously. I believe that the music I make can define my existence, so it is important to me to make music that is pure and reflective of where I am, where I want to be and where I am going. The EP starts with "War" a track dedicated to the memory of my mother and grandmother. Like many African women, the lives of my mom and grandmother were often marked by sacrifice and suffering. This track is my commitment to break that cycle and do good on the emotional, mental and spiritual investment they made in me".

The project comprises six tracks which feature a sole guest appearance from Cape Town female singer, Lana Crowster. The third track "You're Gonna Make it" was featured on the Netflix show, "Inventing Anna", an American drama miniseries created and produced by Shonda Rhimes. Indeed, Dope Saint Jude's impressive performance was seen in this project showing what it is to be an ace when it comes to music. Fans are so delighted with such an offering.

Taken from the Extended Play, the song "For You" appeared as the 1st and one of the most beautiful songs that will surely be worth a perfect place in your playlist and here you have it for your free download.

Review: Davido's "Oriadé" Album Is Built on Familiar Melodies and Safe Choices

The album's title, which translates to "a crowned destiny," immediately points toward reflection. Across its thirteen tracks, Davido revisits themes that have long defined his songwriting: love, gratitude, resilience, faith, and success. Rather than chasing trends or attempting to reshape his musical identity, he delivers a project that feels rooted in everything listeners expect from him.
