Nissi - Babalawo Music

Nissi Ogulu, a London based Nigerian afrobeat singer present this track Babalawo as one of the hit song off her debut studio project called Ignite which she released in the year 2020.
Babalawo is a very creative song from the singer Nissi and it appears as the seventh sound track off her most anticipated studio project tagged Ignite.

Nissi using this track Babalawo to close the EP is the clearest homage to her Yoruba heritage, “Babalawo”, the term for a priest in the language. Babalawo’ is essentially a Yoruba track that brings you back home.

‘Babalawo mo wa bere‘ is how the hook is introduced and from hereon, it is indeed a journey into sound. Nissi studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Warwick in Coventry, England, but this did not deter from her from staying focused on her music career.
