Five-time Grammy winner Angélique Kidjo has confirmed that Nigerian singer Ayra Starr will feature on her upcoming single, “Aye Kan (Are You Coming Back?)”.
The music icon shared the announcement via social media, alongside a short clip from their studio session. In the video, both artistes appeared relaxed and playful, giving fans a glimpse into the creative process behind the collaboration. Kidjo noted that they had “so much fun” recording the track, a sentiment reflected in their on-screen chemistry.
The collaboration follows their earlier appearance together at the 2026 MusiCares Person of the Year gala in Los Angeles, where their red carpet moment first sparked speculation about a possible joint effort.
For Ayra Starr, the feature adds to an already active year, coming on the back of her recent single “Where Do We Go” and further strengthening her growing global profile.
