‘They don’t have sense’ — Veteran Actor Taiwo Hassan Slams Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham Over Public Snub Drama

Renowned Nollywood veteran Taiwo Hassan, also popularly known as Ogogo, has sparked reactions online after commenting on the ongoing public snub controversy involving fellow actresses Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.

The drama began when a video from a recent movie premiere circulated online showing Funke seemingly ignoring a greeting from Toyin, and fans quickly turned the moment into a major social media conversation. Instead of taking sides, Ogogo was asked about the situation in a recent interview, and his remarks did not hold back. 

Speaking with Feel Right TV, Ogogo described such disputes as unnecessary and exaggerated. He said that he doesn’t wish to intervene in matters between women, adding that disagreements among female colleagues often become complicated. In his words, “If they have sense, they should know God has favoured them,” and suggested that both actresses will eventually resolve their differences on their own. 

His comments quickly drew reactions from fans. Some people commended him for staying neutral and calling for peace, arguing that both Funke and Toyin are successful women with much to be grateful for. Others felt his reaction was dismissive of the real feelings fans have around the situation, saying his remarks didn’t fully acknowledge the tension that has spread online. 

While some outlets report that Nollywood veteran actress Fausat Balogun (Madam Saje) has reportedly stepped in to help reconcile the two actresses, Ogogo clearly made it known that he won’t meddle in the matter. Whether this will calm things down remains to be seen, but his comments are now among the most discussed takes on the saga.
