Women Are Stronger Than Men, Just More Emotional – Banky W
Banky W has been talking about women again. And honestly, He made some sense. The singer turned politician shared his thoughts on something that doesn't get discussed enough. He said men don't realize how strong women truly are. According to him, women are actually stronger than men. The only difference is that Women show their feelings more. He put it simply, A woman can go through pain, stress, heartbreak, and still wake up the next day to hold things down. But because she cries or talks about it, people think she's weak. Meanwhile a man will bottle everything up, not say a word, and everybody calls him strong.
Banky said that's backwards, think about it for a second, The average Nigerian woman wakes up before everyone else. She cooks, cleans, gets the kids ready, goes to work, comes back, does more cooking, checks homework, satisfies her husband, and still has time to check on her parents. She does all of that while dealing with period pain, pregnancy risks, and the emotional labor of keeping everyone around her happy. And when she finally breaks down, People say she's too emotional. Banky is basically saying that's not weakness. That's human and the fact that she keeps going after all of that, That's strength.
The conversation has been going on Twitter since he spoke. Some women are thanking him for saying it out loud. Finally, a man who gets it. Some men are arguing that being emotionally expressive is exactly what makes someone less strong. They say real strength is silence and endurance.
But Banky's point is clear, expressing emotion doesn't cancel out strength. If anything, being brave enough to show how you feel takes its own kind of courage.
Whether you agree with him or not, he got people talking. And that's usually his style. He's never been the type to shy away from conversations that make people uncomfortable. This one hit home for a lot of women. And a lot of men too, even the ones who won't admit it.
