Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has joined the growing voice of Nigerians condemning the recent wave of killings and abductions in Oyo State.

In an emotional statement shared on social media, Toyin Abraham has expressed deep pain over the recent attacks in Oyo State, particularly the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area and the gory beheading of a teacher in captivity.
According to the actress:
“My heart is deeply heavy over the painful killings and abductions happening in Oyo State and across different parts of Nigeria.”
Toyin said the tragedy feels especially personal because of her strong family and cultural ties to Oyo, adding that no Nigerian deserves to live in fear and no child should be afraid to go to school.
While commending security agencies and the Seyi Makinde administration for ongoing efforts, she urged authorities to take more urgent and decisive action to secure the release of those still in captivity and prevent further attacks.
Her statement comes amid growing outrage over worsening insecurity in southwestern Nigeria, with several celebrities and public figures increasingly using their platforms to demand stronger government action.
