Court Suspends Ruling on Blessing CEO’s Bail Application in Alleged 36 Million Naira Fraud Case

Controversial relationship therapist and social media personality Blessing CEO remains at the center of legal proceedings after a Federal High Court in Lagos reserved its ruling on her bail application in the alleged 36 million naira fraud case. The court postponed its decision until June 9, 2026, as the trial brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) continues.

Blessing CEO is facing a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and alleged theft of 36 million naira. Prosecutors claim she received the money under the guise of securing a lease for a six-bedroom duplex in Lekki, Lagos, and later converted the funds for personal use. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges. During earlier proceedings, her legal team informed the court that she had refunded 24 million of the disputed amount and was making efforts to settle the outstanding balance. However, the prosecution maintained that the matter is a criminal case involving the Federal Government and should proceed regardless of any private settlement discussions. Justice D.I. Dipeolu subsequently reserved ruling on her bail application, leaving the influencer in custody pending the court’s decision. The development has sparked widespread reactions online, with supporters hoping for her release while critics argue that the judicial process should be allowed to run its course.

The case remains one of the most talked-about legal controversies involving a Nigerian social media personality this year.
