Court Remands Popular TikToker ‘Immunizer’ Over Alleged Cyberbullying and Defamation of Mohbad’s Widow, Omowunmi

Oladimeji Hammed, widely known on TikTok as “Immunizer,” has been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos following his arraignment before the Samuel Ilori Magistrate Court in Ogba over allegations of cyberbullying and defamation involving Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba, the widow of late singer Mohbad.

Hammed was arrested on Monday and has appeared in court on multiple charges linked to the alleged use of social media platforms to ridicule, malign, and expose the complainant to public hatred, harassment, and contempt. Although the court granted him bail, it ordered that he remain in custody until he meets the conditions attached to his release.

The presiding magistrate directed the defendant to provide two sureties, each capable of showing evidence of a bank account balance of at least N700,000. One surety must be a serving state civil servant, while the second must be a blood relative. Both are also required to provide proof of current tax payments.

According to the prosecution, Hammed allegedly made several social media posts between February and March 2026 that were deemed capable of damaging the reputation of Mohbad’s widow and endangering her safety. Among the allegations, prosecutors claimed that on February 8, 2026, he published a post suggesting that Omowunmi intended to leave Nigeria before justice was achieved in the investigation surrounding her husband’s death. He was further accused of posting on February 11 that she failed to deny allegations of infidelity during a court proceeding.

The charges also include claims that he shared content relating to an alleged leak of the complainant’s private images on February 19 and made additional derogatory comments about her character on social media on March 14. Prosecutors argued that the cumulative effect of the publications subjected Omowunmi to public ridicule, hostility, and online harassment, allegedly contributing to an incident in which she was attacked by members of the public on March 15, 2026.

As the case progresses, it adds another chapter to the controversies surrounding Mohbad’s tragic death which continues to generate intense public interest.
