“What You Need Right Now Is Education, Not Marriage” - Geh Geh Tells Peller to Apologize to Ycee

Media personality Geh Geh has weighed in on the ongoing Ycee-Peller controversy, urging the TikTok star to apologize to the rapper and prioritize education over marriage.

“What You Need Right Now Is Education, Not Marriage” - Geh Geh Tells Peller to Apologize to Ycee

Media personality Geh Geh has entered the heated debate between rapper Ycee and popular TikToker Peller.

The controversy began after Ycee sparked discussions online with comments about what he described as an “Olodo Uprising” in Nigeria, expressing concern over the recent glorification of ignorance, internet fame, and controversy at the expense of education and academic excellence.

Peller, who felt targeted by the rapper’s comments, fired back in a response that quickly went viral, accusing Ycee of benefiting from the same social media culture he was criticizing. However, Geh Geh appears to be firmly on Ycee’s side.

In a post shared on social media, the media personality criticized Peller’s reaction, claiming the TikToker has simply been embarrassing himself.

“Peller, I want you to go and apologize to Ycee. You brought this public disgrace to yourself,” Geh Geh wrote.

He acknowledged Peller’s financial success but argued that wealth alone is not enough to sustain long-term growth and influence. According to Geh Geh, education remains essential for anyone hoping to build a lasting career and expand their opportunities beyond internet fame.

“You’ve made money. All you need right now isn’t marriage or love. You need education for you to go places as a streamer,” he added.

The statement immediately generated reactions online, with social media users divided over Geh Geh’s advice. While some agreed that education and self-development remain important regardless of financial success, others argued that Peller’s achievements demonstrate that there are multiple paths to success in the digital age.

The latest development has added another layer to the growing debate surrounding Ycee’s “Olodo Uprising” comments, a conversation that continues to spark discussions about education, content creation, social media influence, and the changing definition of success among young Nigerians.
