“I Used to Think Love Was About Finding the Right Person, But at 30, I Don’t Believe That Anymore” - BBN’s Sheggz Opens Up on Love and Relationships

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Sheggz has shared a candid reflection on love, revealing how turning 30 has completely changed his understanding of relationships.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Sheggz has opened up about how his perspective on love and relationships has evolved, revealing that he no longer believes finding the “right person” is the key to building a successful relationship.

The reality TV star, who recently turned 30, reflected on his past relationships and the lessons they have taught him, noting that both good and bad experiences have shaped his understanding of love.

“I used to think love was about finding the right person. But at 30, I don’t believe that anymore. I’ve had relationships that looked amazing on the outside, and I’ve had relationships that completely humbled me. But every single one taught me something,” he said.

According to Sheggz, one of the biggest lessons he has learned is that love does not only reveal a person’s partner but also forces them to confront their own flaws and weaknesses. The reality star also admitted that his idea of an ideal relationship has changed significantly over time.

Sheggz explained that he once believed the best relationships were those where partners did not challenge each other, but he now understands that a healthy relationship should encourage both individuals to grow and become better versions of themselves.

“I used to think the best relationships were relationships with people that didn’t challenge me. But now I’ve realized that the best relationships are the relationships that challenge you to be the best version of yourself, constantly.”

He further revealed that he is now less interested in chemistry alone and more focused on qualities such as consistency, communication and accountability. Concluding his reflection, Sheggz said he no longer expects love to be about finding a flawless partner. Instead, he believes a meaningful relationship is built when two imperfect people are willing to grow together, respect each other and intentionally build a life they both value.

“So at 30, I don’t think love is finding somebody that’s perfect. I think love is two imperfect people coming together to grow, respect each other, and build something special together. And yeah, that’s the type of situation I’m trying to build. Not perfection, just my version of what’s perfect, basically.”

Sheggz’s honest reflection has since resonated with fans and social media users, with many praising his mature perspective on love and relationships and agreeing that lasting relationships require more than just chemistry or attraction.
