“I Prefer Nigeria to the U.S.; The Freedom to Do Business Here Is Better” - Ike Onyema Reveals Biggest BBNaija Regret

Former BBNaija housemate Ike Onyema has opened up about his biggest regret from the reality show, his earnings from the house and why he now prefers doing business in Nigeria over the United States.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate and media personality, Ike Onyema, has opened up about his experience on the reality show, his biggest regret from his time in the BBNaija house, and why he prefers doing business in Nigeria over the United States.

Speaking in a recent interview with IK Osakioduwa on Kaptain Jeff TV, Ike revealed that one of his biggest regrets was not fully understanding the dynamics of the reality show when he first participated. According to him, he initially believed that winning sponsored tasks and giving his best in challenges would automatically make him the eventual winner of the show.

Ike admitted that, he would have approached the competition differently if he had understood what it took to win.

“I regret not crying. If I knew what the show is, guy, I’ll be in that house doing emotional this, crying up and down. But I thought if I go in there, win all my challenges and do gragra, that I’ll win the money.”

The reality star also disclosed that he made only around N3 million from his first appearance on the show, despite winning several sponsored tasks.

“The first time, I can’t remember, but it shouldn’t be more than N4 million. It should be N3 point something million.”

Ike explained that although some of the challenges he won came with cash prizes worth hundreds of thousands of naira, his overall earnings from the show were still approximately 3 million naira.

Reflecting on his experience in the BBNaija house, Ike also addressed the romantic relationship he had during his time on the reality show. He maintained that the relationship was genuine and not something created simply for entertainment or publicity.

Beyond his reality TV experience, Ike also spoke about his decision to relocate from the United States to Nigeria. The media personality said that although he enjoys life in America, he prefers Nigeria when it comes to doing business, citing the freedom and flexibility he believes entrepreneurs have in the country. According to him, the Nigerian environment allows him to explore business opportunities more freely than in the United States.

His candid revelations have sparked conversations online, with many fans reflecting on the realities of life after BBNaija and the pressure to understand the show’s dynamics.
