“Artists Become Destructive When They Can No Longer Pretend” - Cynthia Morgan Speaks Out After Peter Okoye’s Emotional Revelation

Cynthia Morgan has shared a heartfelt perspective on the emotional struggles artists face, urging fans to look beyond the headlines before judging public figures.

Nigerian singer Cynthia Morgan, now known as Madrina, has weighed in on the ongoing conversations surrounding Peter Okoye (Mr P), offering an emotional perspective on why many artists eventually appear “destructive” to the public.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Cynthia said she came across comments describing Peter’s emotions as destructive but insisted there is a deeper reality that many people fail to understand. Speaking from personal experience, the singer explained that artists are often conditioned to put their careers above everything else, sacrificing their emotions, relationships, and mental well-being for the sake of entertaining others.

“As an artist, most of us are conditioned to always put our craft over anything. Love, grief, abuse, pressure, etc. So when you see an artist that you think has become destructive, just know they’ve maxed out and can no longer pretend,” she wrote.

According to Cynthia, many entertainers reach a breaking point after years of suppressing pain and pressure, adding that healing can only begin when they are allowed to express themselves or seek professional help.

“Until they vent or go to therapy, they will never be normal. Artists sacrifice so much to be the people you admire,” she added.

The singer also noted that today’s generation of musicians may have it slightly easier because social media has made fans more understanding and accepting of celebrities’ personal struggles.

However, she argued that older artists, especially those from the P-Square era, were expected to maintain an air of mystery and perfection, making it even harder for them to openly discuss their emotional battles. Ending her message on a compassionate note, Cynthia offered prayers for Peter Okoye amid his ongoing family crisis.

As discussions surrounding Peter Okoye’s family dispute continue, Cynthia Morgan’s post has shifted the conversation beyond celebrity drama, drawing attention to the often-overlooked mental and emotional struggles that many artists endure behind the spotlight.
