“The $185k After Over N1 Billion Revenue Prove It” - T.I Blaze Calls Out Dapper Over Music Catalogue

The music industry is heating up as T.I Blaze publicly calls out music executive Dapper over his catalogue, royalties and alleged revenue running into over 1 billion Naira.

Nigerian singer T.I Blaze has reignited his dispute with music executive Dapper, accusing him of licensing his intellectual property without mutual agreement and questioning the money generated from his music.

T.I Blaze took to X to express his frustration, making it clear that he believes he has been patient long enough. In a strongly worded post, the singer called out Dapper and Ripper Music, questioning how another person’s intellectual property could allegedly be licensed without the artist’s agreement.

“Who dey license another person intellectual property without mutual agreement?” T.I Blaze asked.

He then directly addressed Dapper, declaring:

“Dapper, your cup don finally full.”

The singer suggested that the disagreement had been building for some time and that he had initially chosen to handle the matter amicably.

“7 Months, No New Drop”

In another post, T.I Blaze claimed that he had waited seven months for a resolution, apparently referring to the lack of a new music release during the dispute. He wrote that he had initially tried to remain calm but suggested that his patience had run out.

The singer also made a major financial claim, alleging that there had been over N1 billion in revenue, while he received only $185,000.

“The $185k after over a billion revenue prove it,” he wrote.

T.I Blaze then challenged Dapper to release his catalogue, saying he was prepared to pay for it himself.

“Drop my catalogue, I’ll pay it. Na less.”

“I’m Not Being Dramatic”

The singer appeared determined to make it clear that his outburst was not an impulsive reaction.

“I’m not being dramatic, I waited for this, go amicably,” he said, suggesting that attempts to resolve the matter privately had failed.

His latest posts have now thrown the spotlight back on the business side of the music industry, particularly artist contracts, ownership of music catalogues, licensing and royalty payments.

However, the financial and contractual claims made by T.I Blaze are allegations from the singer and Dapper had not released any response.
