“Liposuction Is Safer Than Caesarean Section” - Uche Ogbodo Sparks Debate With Strong Claims About Cosmetic Surgery

Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has sparked a heated conversation about cosmetic surgery after making bold claims about the safety and benefits of procedures such as liposuction and tummy tucks.

Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has stirred controversy after openly defending cosmetic surgery and making bold claims about the safety and benefits of procedures such as liposuction and tummy tucks.

Speaking on the Awesome Family Podcast, the actress compared cosmetic procedures with Caesarean sections and argued that liposuction and tummy tucks are not as dangerous as many people assume. According to Ogbodo, people often have misconceptions about cosmetic surgery and its risks.

“Liposuction is not the riskiest surgery, it is actually a safe simple surgery. Tummy tuck is safer than a Caesarian section to me…”

She explained that a Caesarean section involves cutting through several layers of tissue to deliver a baby, while she believes a tummy tuck involves fewer layers. Her comparison has, however, generated debate online, particularly because Caesarean sections and cosmetic procedures are performed for very different medical reasons and carry different types of risks.

Ogbodo also revealed that her experience with cosmetic procedures has changed her perception of plastic surgery. The actress said she has become a strong advocate for the industry and claimed that she now works as a consultant for plastic surgery in Nigeria.

“I became a full advocate for it. I am now a consultant for plastic surgery in Nigeria.”

She went on to make another striking claim, saying that plastic surgery can restore a woman’s libido to what she described as “100%.” The actress also claimed that some women could experience improvements in their sexual experiences following certain cosmetic procedures.

“If you don’t use to be wet, you will start getting wet. It comes with a lot of advantages because it is miracle in a package.”

Her comments have predictably divided opinions, with some people praising her for speaking openly about cosmetic procedures while others have questioned the medical basis of some of her claims.

While cosmetic procedures have become increasingly popular, experts generally emphasize that procedures such as liposuction and tummy tucks are still major surgical procedures, with potential risks including infection, bleeding, blood clots, anesthesia complications and other complications.

Ogbodo’s comments highlight a much larger conversation about how cosmetic surgery is discussed in popular culture.

For now, her strong endorsement of cosmetic surgery has certainly got people talking, with many debating whether procedures such as liposuction and tummy tucks should be viewed as relatively straightforward beauty treatments or as serious medical procedures that require careful consideration.
