43-year-old Nigerian-British influencer Dies After Penis-Enlargement Procedure in Thailand
The sudden death of Nigerian-British businessman and influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo has taken a shocking turn after a London inquest revealed the cosmetic procedure he underwent in Thailand was linked to his fatal pulmonary embolism.
Wealthy Nigerian-British businessman and influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, also known as Denisi or Ego, has died at 43 after undergoing a penis-enlargement procedure during a luxury trip to Thailand with his wife.
According to evidence presented at an inquest at Inner West London Coroners’ Court, Ubiribo underwent a cosmetic penis-enlargement procedure at an unnamed clinic in Bangkok in March. Doctors reportedly injected 40ml of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine during the procedure. Shortly afterwards, Ubiribo and his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, returned to their Marriott hotel and went for a massage.
It was there that things reportedly took a devastating turn.
During the massage, Ubiribo reportedly began complaining of chest pain before collapsing twice. He was rushed by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he was initially conscious and able to answer questions. His wife reportedly informed doctors about the cosmetic procedure, but Ubiribo later lost consciousness before a recommended CT scan could be carried out. Doctors diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism, a potentially life-threatening blockage of blood vessels in the lungs.
He was moved to intensive care, where medical personnel reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes in an attempt to save his life.
Sadly, he died
A subsequent postmortem examination conducted in the UK reportedly found cellular material in Ubiribo’s lungs that matched the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure. Following the evidence presented at the inquest, coroner Jean Harkin concluded that the cosmetic treatment caused the pulmonary embolism that led to Ubiribo’s death.
Ubiribo was a wealthy businessman and social media personality who was known online by the names “Tiny,” “Denisi” and “Ego.” He reportedly had around 185,000 Instagram followers and was known for showcasing a lavish lifestyle and his travels around the world. He was also known for his close friendship with Nigerian music superstar Davido.
What began as a luxury holiday in Bangkok with his wife ultimately ended in tragedy after a cosmetic procedure that was intended to enhance his appearance. Ubiribo’s death is a stark reminder that even procedures marketed as cosmetic or minimally invasive can carry serious medical risks.
