Colombia 0-0 Portugal: Goalless Draw Sees Both Teams Advance as Ronaldo Plays Through Injury

Colombia needed only a draw to secure top spot, while Portugal required a victory to leapfrog their opponents. Cristiano Ronaldo suffered a painful shoulder injury early in the match after a fierce challenge but played the full 90 minutes, despite his grimacing face and gestures of pain .

His performance was clearly impacted, managing only three shots with one on target. Portugal's best chance came in the 38th minute when Bruno Fernandes forced a point-blank save from Colombia goalkeeper Camilo Vargas.

In the 60th minute, Joao Felix played Ronaldo through on goal, but his shot went wide, though the offside flag later went up. The final minutes were cagey, with both teams deliberately slowing the pace to preserve a result that would send them through.

The result confirmed Colombia as Group K winners with seven points, while Portugal finished second on five points . Colombia will face Ghana in the Round of 32, while Portugal will face Croatia.
