“How Did Prison Enter Love?” - Peller Leaves Court in Laughter After Learning Breaking Marriage Vows Could Earn Him 5 Years in Jail

Popular TikToker Peller left guests laughing during his court wedding after hilariously questioning why prison was being mentioned in what he described as a simple “love matter.”

Popular TikToker and streamer Peller has once again become the centre of attention after a hilarious moment from his court wedding sent social media into a frenzy.

The content creator left guests laughing uncontrollably after expressing shock over a warning from the marriage registrar that violating certain marriage laws could result in a prison sentence. During the ceremony, the registrar explained to Peller and Jarvis that entering another marriage while legally married is a crime known as bigamy, which is a criminal offence punishable by a minimum of five years' imprisonment without the option of a fine.

“In a competent court of jurisdiction, if any of you goes against the rules, he or she is guilty of an offence called bigamy. And it’s a punishable offence with a minimum of five years' imprisonment, with no option of a fine. Any bad? Should I proceed, or do you want to go and rethink?” the registrar asked.

A visibly stunned Peller immediately interrupted the proceedings.

“Wait, wait… I have a question. For marriage?” he asked in disbelief.

After the registrar confirmed the punishment, Peller couldn’t hide his surprise.

“For marriage? We will not break it, but ah, I don’t know how prison enter this love… We are good,” he joked, sending everyone present into laughter.

The lighthearted exchange quickly went viral online, with many Nigerians praising Peller for bringing his trademark humour into one of the biggest moments of his life. The ceremony continued with the traditional exchange of vows as the registrar instructed him to repeat:

“Forsaking all other women. Clinging to you only. Till death do us part.”

The now-viral clip has sparked a flood of reactions across social media, with many users laughing at Peller’s innocent confusion. In contrast, others admitted they were also unaware that bigamy carries a prison sentence under Nigerian law.

Since announcing his court wedding, Peller has remained one of the most talked-about personalities online, with nearly every moment from the ceremony generating buzz among fans.
