In a dramatic turn of events, a planned mediation between Nigerian street-hop artist Portable and popular comedian Carter Efe ended in a heated confrontation rather than reconciliation.

The meeting, which took place at the residence of music executive Soso Soberekon, was reportedly organised as a last-ditch effort to settle lingering disputes between the two entertainers ahead of their anticipated celebrity boxing match scheduled for May 1.

However, instead of resolving their differences, the situation escalated rapidly. Eyewitness accounts and circulating videos show a tense atmosphere that soon erupted into shouting, aggressive exchanges, and near-physical altercations both indoors and by the poolside.

Portable, known for his energetic and often unpredictable personality, was seen shirtless and visibly agitated during the confrontation. At some point, he reportedly turned his anger toward influencer Tunde Perry, who was also present, repeatedly shouting “wahala!” as the situation intensified.

Soso Soberekon, who had hoped to broker peace, was said to have stormed out of the meeting in frustration after efforts to calm both parties failed. Despite the heated clash, no injuries or arrests were reported.

The incident has since sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and celebrities weighing in on the unfolding drama. Nigerian music star Olamide also reacted humorously, commenting on the situation with the remark, “One carried a bottle, the other one carried a cane,” further fueling conversations around the anticipated showdown.
