"The Big Boys Don't Even Notice Us" – BBL Enthusiast Laments Decline in Benefits

Nigerian content creator Judas The Bead Maker has sparked reactions after lamenting that those who recently underwent BBL surgery are suffering because the attention and benefits they hoped for have dried up.

"The Big Boys Don't Even Notice Us" – BBL Enthusiast Laments Decline in Benefits

Judas, who used to work in a hospital where she observed cosmetic surgery procedures, reflected on the perceived decline in the benefits associated with having a Brazilian Butt Lift.

Speaking about people who underwent the procedure between 2024 and 2026, she said those who got their BBLs years ago had more opportunities to enjoy the attention and financial benefits that came with having a curvier figure. "Nobody has suffered as much as those of us who did BBL in 2024, 2025, and 2026. All we do now is explain and explain because the streets are no longer the same. There's no gain anymore," she said.

She explained that the market has become saturated, with more women undergoing the procedure than ever before, which has diluted the attention that BBL recipients once commanded.

"You see the people who did their BBL way back?

Those are the ones who enjoyed it because at that time, boys were hot, ballers were around. You could do your BBL, enter the streets and enjoy," she said.

According to her, the landscape has changed dramatically, and the big spenders who once rewarded curvier figures are no longer as impressed or as generous.

Judas also touched on the financial burden of the procedure, noting that many women paid significant sums for a body transformation that has not delivered the returns they expected.

She warned women to make careful choices and to be realistic about what cosmetic procedures can and cannot achieve. Her comments have sparked a debate about the culture of cosmetic surgery in Nigeria and the expectations that surround it.

Her perspective is not shared by everyone. Some social media users argued that the benefits of cosmetic surgery should not be measured solely by male attention or financial gain, while others pointed out that self-improvement should be for personal satisfaction rather than external validation.

The conversation has highlighted the complex motivations behind cosmetic procedures and the societal pressures that drive them.

Judas' lament reflects a broader cultural moment in which the conversation around BBLs is shifting from aspiration to caution.

Her words serve as a reminder that trends change, and what may seem like a guaranteed investment in one's social capital can quickly become a source of regret when the market moves on..
