TRAGIC: Unidentified Teenage Boy Found Dead In Swimming Pool Of The University of Ibadan (UI)
A wave of sadness has swept through the University of Ibadan following a tragic incident that has left students and residents in shock. What began as a normal day on campus quickly turned into a moment of grief, as reports emerged of a life lost under distressing circumstances within the university environment.
TRAGIC: An unidentified teenage boy was found dead in the swimming pool of the University of Ibadan (UI)
Panic everywhere as detectives discover the body of an unidentified teenager in a swimming pool at the University of Ibadan. The boy, believed to be around 14 to 15 years of age, was discovered at about 5:00pm on March 26 within the school premises.
The body had been sighted in the pool, and the Oyo State Police Command was dispatched immediately to the scene for investigation. According to the police reports, blood was oozing out of the boy’s mouth and nose, bruises were found around the nose and blood stains were found around the pavilion area. Clothing believed to belong to the victim was also discovered along the poolside.
Further investigation showed that the boy, estimated to be between 14 and 15 years old, is not actually a student of the university and might have gained entry by climbing over the fence after closing hours.
Upon arrival at the General Hospital, Adeoyo, Ibadan, the victim was confirmed dead and deposited in a mortuary. Olayinka Ayanlade, the spokesperson of the police, said that “the case is being treated as a suspected murder, and the command has commenced a thorough investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident”, and as such, the investigation to uncover the entire truth continues.
