2026 JAMB Exam Date Update: Everything Candidates Need to Know
To be admitted to most universities, you need to write JAMB, unless you are opting for direct entry.
The 2026 JAMB registration has just concluded, and it has been announced that over 1.5 million students from across Nigeria have registered for the examination. The main exam will be held between Thursday, April 19th and Saturday, April 25th. The reprinting date for the main exam has not yet been specified.
After the slip reprinting, students will be able to find out their examination date, venue and seat number. The recommended reading text for the use of English exam in the 2026 JAMB is Kabir Alabi Garba’s “The Lekki Headmaster,” which was to be handed to students upon completion of registration.
The optional Mock exam will take place on Saturday, March 28th, for 4 hours, as opposed to the traditional 2 hours, to familiarize students with the CBT format before the main examination date.
