“A Man Can Have Feminine Energy and Still Be 100% Straight” - Cross Defends Whitemoney
BBNaija star Cross Okonkwo has come to the defence of his former colleague Whitemoney amid the online conversation surrounding a message the reality star received from a man.
Big Brother Naija star Cross has come to the defence of fellow reality star Whitemoney amid the latest online controversy surrounding his sexuality and comments about homosexuality.
The drama started after Whitemoney allegedly received a DM from a man who complimented him and addressed him as “Papi.” The reality star publicly reacted to the message, making it clear that he is attracted to women and questioning why another man would approach him that way. His response, however, quickly became a bigger conversation online, with some social media users accusing him of making comments that could be viewed as homophobic.
Amid the debate, Cross has now weighed in, arguing that a man’s mannerisms should not automatically be used to determine his sexuality. According to Cross, a man can display what people consider feminine traits and still be completely heterosexual.
“A man can have feminine energy and still be 100% straight.”
Cross also claimed that he had once been offered a staggering N500 million to sleep with a man, but said he rejected the offer.
“I was offered N500 million to sleep with a man, but I refused.”
The reality star’s comments have added another layer to the ongoing conversation surrounding Whitemoney, masculinity and sexuality. While Whitemoney has insisted that he is straight and not homophobic, the controversy has continued to generate heated reactions online, with Nigerians debating whether someone’s mannerisms, personality or appearance should have anything to do with assumptions about their sexuality.
