“No Bail Yet": Blord Behind Bars as VeryDarkMan Feud Spirals

Nigeria’s social media space is in chaos once again as the feud between VeryDarkMan and Blord takes a shocking turn. Amid reports of a possible release, a new claim has surfaced—that VDM allegedly moved to stop B-Lord from regaining freedom, fueling outrage and deepening the controversy.

“No Bail Yet": Blord Behind Bars as VeryDarkMan Feud Spirals

The ongoing legal battle between VeryDarkMan and Blord has intensified further following Blord’s detention at the Kuje Correctional Centre after being arraigned on charges including impersonation and the unauthorised use of VDM’s identity.

While many expected a quick bail process, the situation has dragged on, largely due to legal back-and-forth between both parties. According to updates shared by activist Omoyele Sowore, Blord’s legal team filed for bail, but the police opposed it with a counter-affidavit, leading to further filings and delays.

Sowore also pointed out that the timing of the case played a major role in the delay, as it coincided with the Easter court break, preventing immediate hearing of the bail application.

However, what has truly set social media on fire is a circulating claim linked to VeryDarkMan himself. According to viral discussions on X (formerly Twitter), VDM allegedly stated that he heard Blord might be released and then “blocked every move” to ensure that didn’t happen. While this claim has not been officially confirmed in court records, it has rapidly gained traction online, with many users accusing VDM of using influence to prolong the businessman’s detention.

This allegation has added fuel to an already heated situation. Critics argue that if true, it raises serious concerns about the abuse of influence and interference in legal processes. Supporters of VDM, however, maintain that he is simply pursuing justice over what he describes as a misuse of his identity and brand.

Meanwhile, Sowore’s involvement has further amplified the case. The activist has openly questioned law enforcement's actions and criticised the decision to oppose bail, suggesting the matter may be more complex than it appears.

Online, Nigerians remain divided. Some see Blord as a victim of a dispute that escalated too far, while others believe the legal process should be allowed to run its full course without interference.
