“Yahoo Is Stealing!” - Pastor David Ibiyeomie Warns Fraudsters Not to Bring Their Money to His Church

Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the founder of Salvation Ministries, has sent a strong message to Nigerians involved in internet fraud, popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo. The clergyman warned people involved in the practice against bringing money made through fraud into his church as offerings.

Speaking during a church service, Ibiyeomie reportedly said: “Yahoo is stealing.” He went further to address those who may be involved in internet fraud within his congregation. According to him, anyone who is involved in Yahoo Yahoo should not bring the proceeds of the crime to his church as an offering.

“If you’re in this church and you’re doing Yahoo, please don’t give your offering here, go to another place.”

The pastor’s message was clear: he does not consider money obtained through internet fraud to be legitimate income that should be presented to God as an offering. Ibiyeomie also reportedly spoke about the damage internet fraud can cause to victims.

He shared the story of a professor and electrical engineer who allegedly lost his savings to fraudsters. According to the pastor, the man was devastated after discovering what had happened. He used the story to challenge the mentality of celebrating people simply because they suddenly become wealthy. The pastor questioned the practice of praising young people who show off expensive cars and luxury lifestyles without asking where the money came from. He stressed that behind the money stolen from victims could be years of hard work and savings.

His comments have since sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians reacting to his decision to openly condemn internet fraud and reject proceeds from it as church offerings.
