JAMB 2026: Important Rules Candidates Must Not Break on Exam Day

The 2026 JAMB is fast approaching, and every candidate must keep in mind that JAMB is quite strict with its rules, which must be followed to the letter. Failure to comply with these rules may result in a delay or cancellation of the exam on exam day. So to avoid such problems, we are going to highlight some of the rules JAMB expects strict compliance with. 

1. No Phones or Electronic Devices Allowed;

You can bring your phone to the venue, but you are not allowed to bring any electronic devices, including phones, watches, or glasses. Any slight non-compliance with this rule can lead to your exam being cancelled or delayed, or you could even be charged for examination malpractice. The bringing of electronic devices is strongly frowned upon, so Be Careful not to make such a mistake. 

2. Exam Slip is Required:

Your exam slip is highly required. Failure to bring it along will result in being unable to write your exams, and keep in mind that only the exam slip is needed. Any paper apart from the exam slip would not be allowed into the examination venue. 

3. Biometric Verification is Compulsory 

No student would be allowed to sit for the exam unless they have been thumbprinted and confirmed to be eligible for the exam. Before going to the exam venue, make sure you are duly registered in a JAMB-accredited centre and that you have fulfilled all the required criteria. 

4. Late Arrival May Lead to Disqualification

There is strict adherence to the time, and failure to arrive at the time specified in your slip may result in a delay or inability to sit for the exam. Do well to arrive at the venue on time to avoid unnecessary delay.
