JAMB 2026 Cut-Off Marks for All Universities in Nigeria

JAMB cut-off mark means the minimum score you can have on your exam to qualify for admission into tertiary institutions. The board has set 150 as the minimum for university admission, 140 for nursing colleges, and 100 for polytechnics and colleges. These marks represent the lowest possible scores for admission to tertiary universities, so if you get below them, you might need to retake them to gain admission. 

Although JAMB sets its own cut-off mark, each university also sets its own. This means that the respective schools will not admit students who score below the required mark for admission to their universities. The University of Ibadan (U.I) and the University of Lagos (Unilag) require students to score above 200 to be admitted. At the same time, most state and federal universities set a cut-off mark of 180. If you get 190 in your exam, you can apply for admission to a university with a cutoff mark of 180, but not to one with a cutoff mark of 200, because there is a high chance you might not be admitted. So it is better to check on the cut off mark required for admission into your desired university.
