“I Will Be the Next Governor of Abia State” - Actress Doris Ogala Declares, Calls Ambition a Divine Mandate
Actress Doris Ogala has set social media abuzz with a bold political declaration, insisting that she is destined to become the next governor of Abia State and describing her ambition as a divine mandate.
Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has made a bold political declaration, insisting that she will become the next governor of Abia State and describing her ambition as a “divine mandate.”
Ogala made the declaration during an appearance on the Clarity Zone podcast, where she was asked why she was so confident about her chances of becoming the state’s next governor. Without hesitation, the actress said she was certain of victory because she believed she was better than the other candidates.
According to Ogala, her decision to seek the governorship is not simply a personal ambition but a calling to serve the people of Abia State.
“Call to come and save my people is a divine mandate. I will be the next governor of Abia State, nothing is going to stop me,” she declared.
When host Nedu asked her directly why she was so sure she would win, Ogala doubled down on her confidence.
“I am so sure, and I know it, because I’m better than all of them,” she said.
Her statement has since generated reactions online, with many Nigerians debating whether the actress could successfully transition from the entertainment industry into politics.
The actress also criticised the current administration in Abia, particularly over electricity supply. Ogala claimed that she had spent three months in the state and experienced poor power supply during her stay.
“I have been in Abia for three good months, okay? No light. I sleep in my family house, I don’t have light,” she said.
She went further to accuse the present government of not doing enough for residents, while acknowledging reports of improvements in areas such as roads around Ariaria.
“So there is no light, 24-hour light in Abia,” she added.
Ogala’s comments have now put her political ambition firmly in the spotlight, with the actress making it clear that she intends to take her campaign beyond talk.
Whether Abia voters will agree that she is the “better” candidate, however, is a decision that ultimately belongs to them.
